This is a real pretty amethyst purple hand blown glass candy jar from the 1890s with its original glass threaded lid and original carrying handle! Round ovoid shape jar with bulls eye pattern around jar….. Hexagon honeycomb panels around lid with sunburst on top. Hand blown in mold…. Glass screw on lid with heavy steel carrying handle anchored into flowers on side of lid….. 5″tall (6″counting lid)… Shiny nice, but has a bruise on the top inside surface of lip, along with a pair of 1/4cracks coming down from top of ground lip; no other damage….. Shiny clean with no haze. The lid is in excellent condition with no chips or damage. Original lid screws off and on easily. Handle is very solid and tight and swings up and down smoothly.
