Old, Etched English Glass Biscuit Jar with Silver Handle The biscuit jar is approximately 5-/12″ high +the 2-1/2″ silver handle; 5 in diameter Heavy piece: jar alone weighs 1 pound, 12 ounces; with the lid 2 pounds, 5 ounces The jar is in very good condition. Please note that the lid has a crack underneath the silver handled which has been repaired (see last picture). If you run your fingers over the crack you cannot feel it, the repair makes is very smooth. The jar is reminiscent of Victorian glassware with the fine etched design on the jar and different complimentary design on the lid.
