The base material is brass and there are enamel-type embellishments all over the outside. As the images show (you have shots of all 4 sides), the relief image on all 4 sides is of a man on a horned cow-like creature a water buffalo? Following a parasol-carrying person a priest? Toward a building a temple? In a hilly forest. The decorative bands above and below the scene are possibly depicting fans or fish? And there’s a band of hexes or fish scales? Around the base of the mottled white and green glass knob atop. I hope you can read the characters that I tried to show (in the last two images) with my cheap camera. There is a band of what I call verdigris (greenish patina) around the lid and the jar; the inside bottom of the jar is lightly pitted with corrosion. All surfaces have surface dirt and the entire jar and lid show light wear. That noted, the scenes are undamaged, there are no chips or dents, the glass knob is undamaged and the bottom feet are unworn. I did not clean this for fear of damaging it.
