This listing is for a beautifully painted biscuit or cracker jar with metal rim, lid and handle. Metal handle and rim around the upper part of the jar are nicely detailed but need polishing. They are heavily tarnished. The glass is paque or frosted and. Has been painted with striking flowers, buds and leaves. The flower is pink, creamy white and purple with a green interior. Leaves are in two shades of green. The stems and details on the leaves are painted gold. No signature or maker’s mark. 6 7/8 inches (17 cms) from bottom to top of metal rim. 9 1/2 inches (24 cms) from bottom to top of the lid. 12 inches (30 cms) from bottom to top of handle. 5 3/4 inches (15 cms) wide from side to side.
