C1890 Antique English Cut Crystal Glass Biscuit Barrel Cookie Jar Rope Handle. A beautiful quality late Victorian biscuit footed jar or barrel made from a hefty piece of English crystal very deeply cut with a the ever popular hobnail cut, very, very tactile. The mounts are EPNS (electro-plated nickel silver). Dating to around 1890, the jar remains in superb condition. The base measures 4.25″ in diameter not icluding the bun feet, the body having a maximum diameter measuring 5.25″across at widest point. 75″ to rim 6.75″ to top of finial and 9 tall to top of folding handle. Has minor usage wear and tear with light surface wear etc Has some wear to plating. The jar has no chps or cracks… Some light usage wear.. Odd minute fleabite etc, all commensurate with age and use.
