RARE mid 1900s DOMINION GLASS Amber/Brown 1 Gallon Glass Jug with Wire Handle. Glass Jug Collectible or used to create an Art deco item! Dominion Glass makers mark on bottom of jug. This is a 1 gallon brown/amber glass jug made by DOMINION GLASS CANADA. It has a handle that is in excellent vintage condition. It has a plastic and wire handle securely attached to the jug through the two glass loops at the mouth provided for this purpose. The plastic handle shows little wear. An early version of this same jug design comes with a wood and wire handle. This jug comes with no cork. If not for a collection it can be used to create an art deco item (from loodeendsvinatge on etsy) such as. Fill with small sea shells. 09/10 EX+ (EXCELLENT PLUS) Nearly Perfect. Glass free of chips, cracks and abrasions. Only some wear on bottom of jug. Height: 117/8 inches (30.2cm). Width across middle: 6-3/4 inches (17.2cm). Width across base: 6-11/16 inches (17cm). Opening at top diameter: 1 – 1/8 inches (2.84cm). Dominion glass D mark. Dominion Glass makers mark. Year of this item. Unknown, but estimate is mid 1900s since wooden handle version was early 1900s.
