From an antique dealer there. This I will send with barrel. The bottom of the barrel does have scratches on it and possibly the markers mark cannot be read now. I have read that not all the old Waterford was marked. I do find the hand cut pattern to be the style of Waterford and the star on the bottom has 16 points. The glass is heavy and smooth. It has a clear bright color to the glass. (photos do not show this the best sorry). The hinged handle is well made and works freely. The plating looks to be brass and shows some plating loss. The lid looks to be brass. The metal around the mouth of the jar looks to be silver plated and is tarnish with some plating loss. The inside of the lid is signed Walker & Hall Sheffield, England. The dimensions are 9 1/4 tall overall to the top of the raised handle. 5 3/4 to the top edge of the jar, appx. 6″ at the widest part of the barrel, and 3 5/8″ across the base. In good antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs seen. The bottom of the base does have scratches on it from from years of use. There are a couple of tiny scratch lines on the sides to.
