A super sized vintage, possibly antique, hand blown bubbled glass Vase, urn or jar… With gorgeous applied handles as shown… All clear glass throughout. Have found no makers mark and not sure if this was made as a utility piece or as a studio art piece… Unknown origin of who, where or exactly when! Recent treasure hunting find… Found dusty and tucked away in back of vintage clothing… Huge and well made piece… Measures 17″ H and 12″ in Diameter in the body base. The top opening is 5″ D that slightly flairs out and the opening is 3.5″ D… I can almost fit my hand down the neck, makes dusting/ cleaning easier… Still needs a good rinse out of old dust within and small amount of cleaning around handles… The glass is thicker, top rim is about. Smooth rim with no fleabites etc. Nice natural bubbles throughout… The neck is appx 8″ H and the base appx 9″ H…. The handles are 4″ and thickness ranges from 1.5″ down to 1… The handles come out from the body 2…. Each handle has a natural small rough line mark where the glass was separated from the melting rod (do not know glass making terms) and at the bottom is a rough pontil as shown. Literally clean, unmarked bottom with very little floor or sitting wear at all see last 2 images… Any specs see are interior dust on interior bottom… Would guess 8-10 pounds. Condition is exceptionally nice overall… Found one small area of normal wear, rubbing, at top of neck under the rim… Due to bubbles, hard to see, but full disclosure is important to me… Very few minute rubs anywhere else to note… Have had no success finding a comparable piece this old and this size in such great condition so would guess a rarity somewhat! … Any information out there appreciated… And guaranteed as such… This vase will be very well packaged to get to you safe and sound!
