Beautiful antique white opaque glass biscuit jar that has been hand-painted with a floral design on both sides with a very pale yellow-green background. The lid, handle, and collar are made of a silver-tone metal, possibly silver plate, but I have not tested it. There is a mark on the underside of the lid reading “1315” and no mark or signature on the glass. This piece is in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks in the glass; there are some manufacturing flaws in the glass due to the glass making techniques of the time. The metal has wear and tarnish consistent with age and use; there is one small dent along the edge of the lid that is not readily visible but may be felt and a few rough spots on the handle. Please examine the photos carefully. The jar measures approximately 9″ tall (including finial on lid) and 5-3/4″ across. My antique, vintage, unique, or collectible items are USED and sourced from a variety of places such as estate sales, thrifts, friends, and family. PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS CAREFULLY! If you have questions about condition, please do not hesitate to ask. Colors may vary depending on the monitor or mobile device used to view items. I often do not have a history on the item and cannot guarantee it has been in a smoke-free or pet-free environment. Misidentification is not an acceptable reason for return. DO NOT DISCARD ANYTHING! Photos and original package may be required before any reimbursement is issued. I try to work with customers to the best of my ability! It is my goal to keep my customers happy!
