PLEASE NOTE – I HAVE ADDED 16 CLOSE-UP PHOTOS OF THE MIRROR NOW – I COULDN’T DO THAT BEFORE BECAUSE IT WAS ON MY CAR IN MY STORAGE, BUT I HAVE BEEN AND FETCHED IT. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY, BECAUSE THEY SHOW LOTS OF DETAIL. THE BACK OF THE MIRROR IS SLIGHTLY WORSE THAN I REMEMBERED (IT HAS SOME VERY SMALL DENTS AND THE CHROME HAS SOME AGEING), BUT THE GLASS AND THE THERMOMETER ARE EXCELLENT, AND THE ARM IS ALMOST FREE OF PITTING – USUALLY THE POT METAL ON THESE IS TERRIBLY PITTED. Up for sale is my treasured JOMA thermometer mirror. It is not NOS but is fairly lightly used, with an excellent thermometer face and mirror glass, and just some very light pitting on the pot metal arm, some chewing up of the adjuster nut that holds it tight on the arm and one or two very minor dents in the back of the mirror housing (please see my new close-up photos for details). STOP PRESS – LATE EDIT! I put before that. The thermometer did not appear to work and was always at around 70 degrees. However, I have just noticed that it does seem to work because it is showing 40 degrees in the picture, and that was what it was the day I took it winter temps! It is in good but not perfect condition, and I have repaired it myself by re-attaching some flaps and remaking a missing part and two of the small inner flaps using my’patent’ box-repairing technique, which is to run a very fine bead of PVA adhesive along the edge where the flap is missing, and re-attach it like that. This gives a very good, strong and almost-invisible repair. I have remade the two small missing flaps and a small piece at the top of the side using some spare cardboard and attached it to the inside using PVA – please see photos for details. However, there is another for sale that looks to be in worse condition than this one, and also has no box, and compared with that one mine seems pretty good value. Track Page Views With.
