Today we’re offering a fantastic, antique decorated opalware biscuit jar made by C. It is unmarked as are many of the Wavecrest pieces. The mold is referred to as “Egg Crate” and the hand painted design is a floral spray of what looks to be blue Orchids or Lilies. It measures 7.75″ tall to the top of the lid finial and is 5″ square. The lid has a hole in it unfortunately. Someone probably did it intentionally so their biscuits would be “crisper”. We have not cleaned or polished the silver in any way – it is as found. The glass is in good condition with no damage we can find.
