This is a beautiful and rare antique Mount Washington lidded cracker or biscuit jar. It is hand painted on all four sides and has applied gold Crown Milano beads around the top half. It has three dimensional leaves on the bottom of all four corners. The lid is marked M. (Mount Washington) 3941 underneath, see photo 3. The silver plated collar and lid are embossed and in an age appropriate patina that could be shined further if you prefer. It has no chips cracks or repairs and with the exception of a few missing gold beads the paint looks great. It stands just over 9″ tall with the handle up and is 6.5″ across at the bottom. Without the lid or handle it is 5 tall and wide at the mouth.
