This is a wonderfully iridescent Imperial FH 180 Drag Loop vase with cobalt handles that was included in the Free Hand line Special Lot 1976, ca. The base glass is clear with applied cobalt drag loops and handles. A team of European artists worked at Imperial for just over a year creating the Free Hand line without use of moulds. It was not well received by the public at the time and consequently the line was short lived. The vase stands 5-3/4″ (14.6 cm) tall and measures approximately 6″ (15.2 cm) in diameter at its widest. The piece is in very good condition without chips, flea bites, scratches, or staining. There is a heat check in one handle that can be best seen in photo 8. The glass there popped out rather than cracked through. It extends no deeper than shown and the handle rings solid when tapped. The last two photos were taken with our microscope camera to show that there is no crack that extends into the handle. You will need to select your preferred option at check-out. Items not paid for within 96 hours are subject to re-listing. We pack very well (check our feedback) and we can’t get those darn packing peanut or bubble wrap trees to produce anything for us. These are not defects and can be expected. This how pieces were delivered from the factory and to collectors they are unremarkable, especially in hand blown items. We will not note any of these unless they are present to an unusual degree.
