Here we have, a beautiful, Northwood, electric amethyst, Grape & Cable carnival glass cracker jar. Had this for a while, and it has taken a while to decide if I wanted to sell it or not. Beautiful piece, in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Has some straw marks here and there from manufacturing. Marked on the interior with the Northwood N in a circle, and the lid is marked also. Thumbprint pattern around the base, with lo. Ts of blue, gold, and purple hues. The over all pattern has the same color of hues and the bottom, with the leaves and grapes being gold, and the. Background showing lots of blue and purple. The lid has a lot of gold, with some blue and purple hues. It measures 8 1/8″ high with the lid, 8 3/4″ wide at the handles, 6″ wide opening, and has a 4 3/4″ base. The lid is 5 1/4 wide. Still has the ID inside from the previous owner. Can’t remember their name, but were from Winston Salem, N. One that is hard to let go of. Can’t keep it all, but I sure try. Probably sell it all in a couple more years. Can’t take it with me, so I figure on passing it on to other collectors.
