This listing is for a gorgeous antique unmarked Mt. Washington biscuit jar, circa 1892 to around 1920. Custard satin glass with beautiful hand painted enamel floral decor with each side being different. One side is pink and blue morning glories accented with green stems and leaves, while the reverse side is a different image of the same pink and blue morning glories. Complete with original silver plated lid and bail which are marked ” Van Bergh Silver Company of Rochester NY” and “3105”. Van Bergh Silver was founded by brothers Frederik W. Van Berg in 1892. The company changed the name in 1925 to Van Bergh Silver Plate Inc. SIZE: 9.25 high including the lid’s finial. Measures 18 around the widest part of the middle of the jar. CONDITION: In excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or missing paint to the glass. There is some loss to the original silverplate as pictured.
