This is a large old general or grocery store barrel shaped pickle jar. This large glass jar measures 13 ” high and 7.5″ in diameter at the base. It is slightly wider at the center of the jar – about 8.5. The glass is free of any chips or cracks at all, although when I run my finger around the inside of the lip, it is rough, but not truly chipped. There are no impressions or words on the bottom. Right in the middle of the jar is an “O”. This huge jar has a wire bail that is secure and a wooden handle. The metal lid is an off white almost yellow color. There is a lot of rust on the interior of the lid, but it screws on and off nicely. This has displayed in a country style kitchen for years. Check out my other items.
