Up for sale is a large vintage clear glass beer keg shape jar with a metal and wood bail handle. It is in very good pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, repair, cloudiness or fractures with only a few manufacture air bubbles and some very light scratches from normal use. The metal bail does have rust on it but is intact, and the lid has some rust on it but is original to the jar. There is also some base wear on the very bottom but nothing to detract from it. It has a mark on the bottom 7 9 2 and a circle and a diamond with an I in it. I believe it is a 3 gallon jar. These jars were originally used for pickles, pickled eggs, hot weenies etc. On country store counter tops. The jar measures approx. 13 1/2″ tall with the lid by 8″ wide at the base.
