An approximate 1890’s antique Victorian era Wavecrest style opal ware hand painted glass biscuit jar. The jar has a plated metal lid and a carrying handle. The plating is worn although the glass container and floral design is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures approximately 8 3/4″ tall not including the handle and 6 “wide. With the handle it is 11 tall. It weighs 2 lbs. There is a mark on the base but it is mostly worn off.
